It's time again - you load the instruments out of the car, shake the hands of the local heroes, complete the soundcheck and look forward to the performance. What else can go wrong now?

Well, a lot!

The following ten mishaps are so common that everyone knows them, although of course they never wanted to see anyone coming. Noticeable detail: Bassists usually get away with it.

10. Cell phone ringing

The lights of the hall are dimmed, the epic intro sounds out of the PA, you pose powerfully and Mutti calls. Shock!

Not the biggest problem in itself, the intro would not run on the same smartphone ...

9. Wandering drum set

As solid as a drum kit may seem - without a small but fine detail, it will be on the way at the latest on the first double bass part. The speech is of course from the carpet.

Anyone who has ever drummed his set down the Drumriser knows the feeling of sitting alone on the stool and stunnedly watching the debris roll out in front of everyone's eyes.

8. Bad clothes

Musicians are quite used to tightening their belts. Literally natural, because the jeans hanging in the back of the knees is not really uncommon. Especially risky: hopping parts!

7. Text Hanger

Sometimes you forget things. Most of the time, they come right back to you. Stupid only that on stage "equal" is already too late.

Now you can look at the audience puzzled, flee from the stage scared or you can run to the front.

6. Smoking tube amp

They are the pride of every string sorcerer - sinfully expensive boutique amps from reputable manufacturers. The biggest advantage of these cars is their biggest disadvantage at the same time: the tubes.

The heart of these amps are real divas: sensitive to temperature, susceptible to transport damage, moody in their day shape and real drama queens at the end of their life cycle. The spectacular departure in fog is obligatory.

5. Dropped drinks

Some things are done against better knowledge. For example, put open drinks next to the effect pedals. That can not be good and rarely will not.

4. Electric accident

Evil tongues claim that Punk Rock hairstyles were created in the late 1970s as a result of improper use of the technical equipment. In fact, the complex circuits at dubious venues harbor one or the other security risk.

The resulting glitches are rarely to blame the musicians, but you should respond to adverse circumstances.

3. Stumbling trap photo trench

If one were to let singers run into a digger in a row, they would probably fall like lemmings one after the other into the depths. A real phenomenon. If, in the Middle Ages, the bard was forced to throw down a trap-door for the amusement of the king, he does so of his own free will in front of the stage.

2. Torn string

The classic par excellence. Has experienced as well as anyone ever before, is subjectively for the affected musician but again and again a medium-sized disaster.

1. Alcohol

A kind of "Best of" the most common breakdowns arises mostly in the attempt to drown the stage fright in alcohol. Do not please your fans with this fireworks of embarrassment and please go to the stage soberly.

Guess best is to have some stylist waiting in the room to cover point 8 and leave the drinks for home to not let point 5 happen :) What happens most often?

to my surprise, torn strings - and alcohol, of course - which inevitably leads to point 5 😅

Hahaha therefor the top 2 is what happens the most to you. Surprisingly, the King's pleasure is number 3, meaning happens more than dropping drinks?
