I saw the classic lineup with Gillan and Blackmore on the House of Blue Light tour. Sad that Jon Lord is gone now. The band has kept going for a very long time now.

What a lucky man you were! I haven't had the opportunity to see Gillan live, very much unfortunately. My mother went to a Deep Purple concert when I was little kid back in 2008 (or so, if I'm not mistaken) when they toured in Romania. I was to little to be admitted there as well, even if I would have had an entry ticket... Such a shame though. But I can assure you I knew Purple since my lullaby days. :)
