For one they were stealing gold from the establishment which is better and the absolute opposite of our current system... Also they had their own self sufficient judicial system that was really effective called "the plank". Besides that they were drinking Rum often and fired canons once in a while. Despite the scurvy and the life expectancy (around 25 years old), pirates had it pretty good if you ask me...

D'une part, ils volaient l'or à la royauté ce qui est l'opposé de la pratique actuelle ... De plus, ils disposaient de leur propre système judiciaire autosuffisant qui était réellement efficace appelé "la planche".
