Musical Mood Of The Day: Some Bardcore Remakes Of 'Somebody That I Used To Know' And 'Orinoco Flow' (Must Listen For Medieval Audiophiles Out There!)

in #musiclast month (edited)

Good day, dear readers from both HIVE and outside of it. For today's musical mood of the day I decided to go with two bardcore remakes of two great songs that I was very much into during my adolescence (and still am to this day), more specifically 'Somebody That I Used To Know' by Goye and Kimbra and 'Orinoco Flow' by highly talented and enchanting Enya.

The following two remakes, made in the bardcore (or tavernwave) style (quite viral during 2020 on the Internet I feel I should also add), stand at the border of humour and talent which pinpoint to the bygone medieval ballads.

As a side note, the bardcore movement can as well be perceived as the complementing successor to the 2010s cottagecore fashion aesthetic which advocated for a simple rural living. Both cultural movements from the Internet received tremendous attention during the mass quarantine which occurred throughout the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

That being said, without further ado, below you can listen to these two songs which were uploaded on the Youtube channel of Hildegard von Blingin' (a pun stemming from the real name of medieval abbess and saint Hildegard von Bingen).
