We like to celebrate our local characters here at the Postbeat and Jeep is certainly a character! He changed his name to Colorado Jeep after a life changing motorbike ride across America and has been wearing the stars and stripes ever since. He's so excited about these recordings from the Postbeat workshop that he wants to come back and record his whole album! So look forward to more from this Magical Maverick over the coming months. We heard over the wireless that Colorado Jeep had set his sights on our humble studio, so we quickly did nothing about it, and awaited the sound of roaring engines, and hobnail boots. Sure enough he burst through the door in a flash of smoke and lightning, stars and stripes billowing around his shoulders and a half dead guitarist strapped to his back. Poor old Dixey had come off bad in the fight against evil and could barely open his eyes as Jeep cast him down upon the emerald throne, set his faithful axe across his chest and began to Smash out a career-defining track called 'Memories'. Sure enough, Dixey's fingers began to twitch and soon the scream of lead guitar was echoing across the battlefield, signalling victory against all odds. The beat of the battle-drum met their call as Jimbo joined the fray and before long, this brave resistance had formed a trio of immeasurable pluck and the forces of evil were left scattered across the far reaches of the universe. Long live the Postbeat SongSmash!
