Music Monday (feel free to add your own music)

The aim is simple, to banish those Monday blues with an eclectic range of music chosen by Steemit friends both old and new.

Music Monday.jpg

Every Monday I intend to post a music video (and a few words explaining my choice) I invite you to join me by doing same in the comments section below. As the forum (hopefully) grows my aim is that we begin to inspire our fellow Steemians to broaden their musical horizons by listening to the music that inspires us. The only thing I ask is that (where possible) every song we listen to is played nice and loudly on headphones or speakers in order that we capture its true essence.

As more Steemians join this venture there is also going to be the possibility of being rewarded for our musical tastes via the amount of upvotes each song receives. That said please never feel awkward about posting a track, a guilty pleasure or even your own musical ventures. I have an extremely wide range of musical interests but also understand that music like beauty is very much in the eye of the beholder. As such I may play my chosen song, but who am I to define what constitutes good music.

Hope everyone is well and has enjoyed a really good weekend!? Finally got my computer issues sorted and I'm back up to full speed. For anyone that is interested, the first part of my three part post will have out tomorrow. But first its time for the music! Love the hazy dreamlike quality of this track, reminds of the endless summer days of my youth, cruising in the car and after party days spent chilling at the beach .. gone but never forgotten. I hope you enjoy!

I enjoyed the Growlers track. I've never come across them before.
I've just got my Wurlitzer back after many years and have been playing all my old singles. Here's a oldie for you

I'm looking forward to reading your new post.

Yeah I can certainly remember this track .. I know he sang with them but wasn't he in the Communards at the same time? Seems to ring a bell!? But I could be wrong lol One of those iconic 80's soundtracks that will play on in perpetuity, within the song choices of those that are looking to musically define an era Thanks for the music my friend .. enjoyed this trip down memory lane. :) Cheers dude, don't read it for 1/2 an hour or so as I'll have to perform a little magic to squeeze it onto the blockchain lol

Ha mate, I can always trust you to come up with a leftfield track from a band I never knew existed lol The beginning kind of reminded of towards the end of a Doors concert when Jim had drunk loads of whisky .. although it looks like this dude is on the pints lol :D Thanks for the music @sequentialvibe .. missed this last night and enjoyed a wake up call this morning!

It is really worth exploring Nick Cave's solo career. This was his first band. He is one of those lesser known post punk geniuses! I still know people obsessed with him!

Hope everything is going well, you still working on the renovation?

Interesting song this week! The vocals remind me of Bob Dylan for some reason. Love the song though! I’m surprised I’ve never heard of them, this seems up my alley. Pandora here we come!

They kind of remind me of a couple bands but I thought of this awesome song.

Hey my friend, hope you're well .. yeah still slowly renovating, I'm also working long days so the emphasis is on the slow lol I'm also trying to write a book :) Glad you enjoyed my choice this week, they're really good band with some great tracks and an interesting back catalogue. Really enjoyed your choice this week mate .. not heard a great deal of these guys before but I love her voice and that was a cool track! Thanks you for the music @cmplxty .. really enjoyed this one :)

Great name for a band The Growlers, although I was expecting a death metal kinda song with growling. Interesting song netherless and catchy. They remind me of someone but can't work it out who. Yes as @cmplxty mentioned Dylan - a young Dylan but the music is like Wall Of Voodoo or that kinda feel.

Today I am going to throw out there the Aussie band You Am I. It was hard to pick which song but Good Morning won.

Hey @izzynoel hope you're well and enjoying a good start to the week :) Glad you enjoyed my choice, they're a cool band with some great tracks ... they often change their style, which keeps it interesting, some changes I don't like as much but their 80's infused track I included above is (I feel) good one :) Not heard of You Am I before, but I enjoyed your choice this week. Takes me back to my Indie fueled college days lol Happy carefree music for happy carefree days :) Thank you for sharing .. I shall have to take a look at what else they've done.

Yeah this is a cool song too. I;m at their website now and going to check out more by them. Thanks for the "heads up". Music Monday spreads the music knowledge!

Oh yah!! How about a little Living Colour?

This one made it back into my view the last couple weeks from way back in the 80s. These guys were so progressive yet rocking. Lead singer is an athlete for sure and that guitar player is just nuts. It is a bit of a throwback but I found them on facebook (YECH!)and they still tour and play shows.

Happy monday!

I love Living Colour. Great band forsure and this isn't their best song, although it is their most well-known.

Oh hell yah! I loved them so much back in the day and had the CD when it came out. Reminds me of Extreme with the energy, fantastic guitar work and the lesser known tracks being so great.

I am going to see how many I can find to listen to today and let it run while I work.

Ha great choice mate lol I'd had completely forgotten about these guys .. but I enjoyed this one! Great energy and man that guitarist made me breathless lol If they're still touring they must be a great live act .. seen a few of these throwbacks over the years .. the guys that just carried on an carved out a good name on the gig and festival circuit .. saw the Cult a few years back and thought they were brilliant. Thank you for the music @zekepickleman .. enjoyed this one :)

Haha glad you enjoyed it.

I saw The Cult just after Ian had finished with his Doors gig. Seemed to have adopted that Jim Morrison drag and it seemed to screw up the flow of the cult songs.

Now I am going to have to roll through some Cult favs while I work.

The song of 2018. Year of technological breakthroughs. Created the world's first working exoskeleton. This unit allows people to walk with a broken backbone or paralyzed legs. Naturally, it was created on the basis of the military exoskeleton "Alesha", but without combat functions. In particular, there is no virtual helmet that makes it possible to see yourself, the enemy and your unit on the map of the area. The usual electronic amplifier on the electronic engine that walks and directs the movement of the legs using the direction of the hand. The first limb transplant operation in the world was also performed. The operation took place naturally in Russia. A hand was transplanted. The person who did not have a hand now has 2 working hands.

There are very few combat exoskeletons in the troops. Only the Federation Military Space Forces have in their troops. Such skeletons allow you to fight the Star Landing Federation. In 2018, successfully applied in Syria.
