This is my submission for the MyPictureDay Photography Contest! You can read more here about the whole contest and how to take part in.

I am not a guy that likes to post photos but instead i like to keep them from myself or friends in order to bring back memories etc etc. So you are lucky cause this a rare chance to see some of them in a very beautiful park that sadly needs to be taken care way more!

A little bit of History

This is a park of around 900 acres with rich history. To begin with it's a very very big (for Athens at least) park with a lot of green, artificial lakes and as natural wildlife. In fact, for many people this is the only green space they can go for a walk, running and more outdoor activities!

So in a few words the history goes back to 1838 but the most important thing is that the whole park got bought by the Queen and was mainly used for agriculture and stuff!

Now the sad thing is that the park isn't taken care as it should have because fuck yea corruption! I have said it many times, this park if it was taken good care it could easily be on par with Central Park, which i have also been so i got an idea!

It has even a small outdoor theater inside, lakes with ducks and fishes, many species of birds all over, places for bikers and a couple of years ago it would host many great food & drinks festivals, while at the same time had a small biological market working!
