Native American powwow music. From my Rez powwow. Evolution of native music

in #nativepride2 years ago

There's times you miss the drums.

And home....

And who you are.... The freedom of the mountians. The beauty of the animals and the harsh land that is your home.

Through technology I can still listen to the prayers and the beat of the heart of our tribes and people.

I am the seventh generation. I am the prayers of hope that helped my ancestors survive so many dark days and nights.

We have returned....

We can't be stopped. We are rising. And again we make the world better. One step at a time.

So yes I miss home. I miss the peace and sounds of the lands. Where a herd of elk vanish where you wouldn't think they can and jump and run up 3,000 elevation with no difficulty. Where the nature is wild and untamed with secrets we don't tell the rest of the people around us.

We are not alone and never have been.

Time to make more steps. Embrace your heritage and past. Time I spent some time in the woods. Thank you all. However I forsee some time in nature for me and dog.

Well I went from a bunch of traditional music and here is bunch of contemporary and traditional music mixture...

Really like this one and for some reason electronic music and pow wow music blend very well.

My favorite remix...

Our land.... Our finals say. We have medicines here. We have time spent placing and growing these plants near roads for our elders to be able to still gather them. We have animals here. This is their homes. And ours.

You don't live here so you don't know.

You pretend and tourism and say you make a difference...

You were not asked to go be an activist for the land. You were not offered the medicine pipe.

We are peacefully asking. The bears live here. The moose live here. The elk live here.

We all live here.... Take your town ways back to town.

As the evolution of music and activism gains strength so do the arts and our people.

They are coming up...

And then the snotty nosed Rez kids...

And gonna have even more fire native beats...

And I didn't cede land... My ancestors didn't either.

I didn't lose my heritage... I didn't get civilized... I'm a Savage...

SKODEN

SKODEN! Skoden lives forever....

Call me an apple. I've got more feathers than the traditional. Done more work for the people than so many...

Blaze it!
