Me gusta sembrar.

I have been buying ginger and turmeric powder in commercial stores for many years. For different uses in my meals.

I like to sow. I do it many times in pots. I have been planting many aromatic plants and edible tubers for years. But I never thought of making a recipe with them, which also allows to preserve its flavor, to maintain its freshness. That's why, seeing some plants in videos, I came across something that I liked. A recipe video for pesto. The pesto never caught my eye for pasta. But when I saw it, I thought about my tubers. They were close to harvest.

Last year I harvested my tubers. I cut them and dehydrated. Then spray. But you know what? Soon, I observed changes in the packaging and had to force its consumption. I was thinking, what to do with them this year. And when I saw the video, I resolved. Today I bring my work, for this challenge. I hope you like them.

The plant has a single thin stem that subsequently bears fruit and new thin stems are born, until the plant is made from many plants around it. But its edible part is the root. This tuber is spicy.

Its harvest is made from 8 months after planting. The root is not deep, and multiplies a lot, depending on the conditions of the earth.

It has many nutritious roots around it. I think it has to do, because this time, the plant went through many problems to receive water.

It is already washed and removed most of the superfluous roots.

To do the final cleaning process, the root surface must be scraped off. With the edge of a teaspoon, this process is done very effectively as well. And it is ready, to begin the process of making pasta.

The rhizome is also superficial. It has a characteristic, aromatic smell. And its color is intense yellow, tends more to orange. To the touch releases a coloration in the hands, which is very difficult to wash. But I assure you, it is worth it, in relation to the benefit of consuming this root.

Product already made.

Place the chopped ginger in your blender with a little oil. The oil they prefer and, the amount of oil they like. Taking into account that if they put a lot of oil the paste will be more liquid and if they put less oil, the pasta will be thicker. Then they must prepare glass containers. Mine are recycled, that is, they previously had products of another kind. The glass containers are washed and previously boiled. In order to preserve the pasta for a long time, stored in your fridge.

I prepared small containers and a larger one. So depending on the situation, I can use the small one and keep the large one, for larger quantities of food to prepare.

And it also saves you time in the kitchen, when choosing the species to use. And the oil is food preservative.
