In Vienna when i waited for the "Eurasian Bittern" that is a seldom bird here i only cought a picture of the grey heron with a big fish in his mouth. Stefan and i visited Vienna for a wildlife weekand and we got a tip where the "Eurasian Bittern" can be seen. It is a place where also the Grey Herons look for food in the wild. I wasn't lucky with the little bittern and it didn't show up but at least i shot this nice picture of a Grey heron catching a big fish. First i didn't believe that this birds would be able to eat this big fish in one piece but i was wrong. It was no problem for him to gulp it down without slicing it in pieces.

Eventhough i didn't take a picture of the Eurasian Bittern this day i was still satisfied with this picture of the Grey Heron catching this big fish. It was nice watching the bird catching and eating the fish. But it was over in some seconds. So i really had the luck to catch the right moment.
