Cognitive Dissonance .. remember that guy at the Saudi Consulate in Turkey?

Jamal Khashoggi went to the Consulate in Turkey to retrieve papers for his planned marriage.

He didn't come out alive.

The Saudi Consulate tried to cover up the murder. However, it was uncovered.

Jamal was a journalist who was critical of the Saudi Government. You can read some of his articles here

After many denials, the Saudis, had to admit that there had been an altercation within the Consulate. Jamal had been suffocated & dismembered.

A number of people had been arrested in relation to the murder. Some merely received a slap on the wrist, while others, received a death sentence. This death sentence seems to have been overturned due to the murderers receiving forgiveness from Jamal's family.

It just goes to show you how atrocities can be done in broad daylight with little consequence.
When the trail leads up to the upper echelons of power - there seems to be a black mirror to distort justice.

With the deluge of information, with our ficklness and pettiness, how is it possible to focus on these issues?

Global organisations seem to suffer from their own corruption, or become ineffective guard dogs without teeth. Even their bark can no longer be heard.
The citizen, is told that they have no recourse. They have no skin in the game.

Just another Sovereign power, giving the nod & the wink, to the other Sovereign powers.
