This is the latest piece in my retro toy collectible series. This time I am going with the Lite Brite toy, which is one of my all time favorites.

Unfortunately I couldn't find a good 3D model of the Lite Brite, so I had to build my own from scratch. So I started out with a simple picture frame prop in my software library.

The Lite Brite has holes in it so you can stick the pegs in. I simulated the holes by using a 3D model of a muffin pan.

I duplicated the muffin pan several times until it covered the inside of the frame.

I made a couple of 3D models using the Lite Brite logo's

And I attached both of them to the frame, one on the top and one on the bottom.

To make the HIVE letters, I used several capsule props, and stuck them into the muffin holes one by one.

Once I got all the pegs in, it looked like this.

Then I added light emitters to each peg to get the glowing effect you see here.

Then for extra measure, I added the HIVE logo on the back with a glass like texture on it to give it a cool look for when it spins around. I had a lot of fun making this one, it also brought back a lot of childhood memories but actually it was just another one of my bright ideas lol.

The NFT for this piece is available for 25 HIVE, and it includes the original high quality MP4 video file, there is only 1 edition, and you can get it HERE
