[CR] The Wolf

in #ntopaz9 months ago (edited)

Hello to all internet artists and all art lovers, Wow! I have not done an illustration with triangles for a long time.

My work with triangles is the fastest I can do with complete certainty regardless of the amount of detail, which is why I exaggerate the amount of these ways to increase the difficulty (so have fun doing it) and to give the texture of fur, The story behind this work is fun, I actually did this wolf in order to teach my students symmetry in drawing, and to take away the fear of not daring to do jobs with many details to my little ones, this is the second school year in which I teach drawing, and this class I gave them to my old group (this year there are more children but only 2 are from the previous year who decided to continue) the issue is that the wolf I taught them was a lot, but much simpler than this one, I only had 10% of details with triangles compared to this one, and because I decided to increase the difficulty, I simply lost it in the original, just at the time I was ordering my things p To go out to teach, check all over the house and I didn't find it, so I decided to recreate it just before going to work, and surprise I felt inspired and unintentionally I added more details when I had to make it simple, when I saw it I said I will scare them without wanting, nor did I have any more time, and finally in class That happened, they begged me not to make them do this wolf, I had trouble converting them, but I got them to try. ^ _ ^

For the next school year, when I have to explain this again, I will try to teach them with a simpler job, maybe I will make a carlino pug dog instead of a wolf. XD

Pencil Sketch

I was confident that the original was still in my sketches folder, I only had 3 hours to do it and get ready, that is the reason why the sketch is not 100% completed, but the idea was to explain symmetry so having half ready was enough , I also realized that the amount of detail was a lot for class time, the original only took me 30 minutes to do so, with this time it tripled and I could not finish it on time, so in class when I explain on the board I simplified it as much as I could and I only put them to do only the head.

With this GIF I show you the whole process of illustration

Something curious is that the pencil sketch, only served for my eyes and snout, I had to make several corrections, for the rush the sketch looked more like a Siberian Husky dog and not a wolf, the difference is the length of the snout and the shape of the fur, I also wanted to change more the orientation of several triangles and remove those that were too much.
