THE DAY IT RAINED / EL DÍA QUE LLOVIÓ

Cali has a wet weather, and most of days are cloudy or it just rains. This day, we wanted to go see one of its central areas, right where antique buildings of publig institution and entities are located.

More than the church which colors match and at same time contrast with building's, the most interesting fact of this photography is how the lighting post accents the vanishing point with centers in one so white could surrounded by a few others rith in process of turning gray, under a so bright blue sky.

Regarding that amazing sky, that day it rained.. Cali was so used to it and people knew. Of course, most people was carrying their umbrella.

It ended, but it was a great day.

About technical detail, this camera wasn't mine. I'm only an amateur.

Cali tiene un clima muy húmedo, y la mayoría de los días son nublados o de plano llueve. Este día, quisimos hacer un paseo. Era importante conocer una de las áreas centrales, donde están los antiguos edificios de las instituciones públicas, alcaldía, gobernación, las capillas e iglesias.

Lo interesante de la fotografía, además de que captura la capilla, cuyos colores hacen juego y al mismo tiempo contrasta con un edificio, tal vez comercial de esquina, es que el poste acentúa el efecto de punto de fuga por capturar, pues, el cielo, porque la toma es hacia arriba, tomando entonces también el color del cielo, paradójicamente de un matiz muy vivo y brillante, donde destaca una nube justo en donde convegen las líneas pero que está rodeada por otras que ya iban tornándose grises.

Ese día, a pesar de ese cielo, llovió. Pero toda Cali estaba acostumbrada y los sabía. Mucha gente tenía sus paraguas, etc.

Eventualmente el paseo terminó, pero fue un día hermoso.

No se los detalles técnicos, como cámara o lente usados porque no era mía y solo soy aficionada.
