New features to manage Earning Teams
We are introducing a series of Earning Team Management features to help Pioneers better organize their earning team members, prevent trolls, protect privacy, report fake accounts and have filtered views. Below are the specifics and intended use of such features.
Report fake earning team members
The “Report” feature is to address the issue that some Pioneers have experienced where malicious strangers or trolls register fake accounts using their referral code, thus appearing in their earning team and participating in their earning team chat to troll, insult or violate their privacy. This feature allows the owner of the earning team (Referrer) to report those users as “fake accounts” with the following effects: 1) providing the Pi system with one data point from the Referrer about whether an account is fake, 2) removing this person from earning team chat for the privacy of the real Pioneers in this chat, and 3) ability to hide these accounts from the earning team list for the Referrer. Because these reports are user-self-claimed data, it will not immediately take effect on the mining, nor will it directly freeze or ban the reported account, because there may be also risk for users maliciously reporting good real Pioneers as fake accounts, even though this is not in line with the reporter’s earning interest. In the future, the Pi system will cross reference such fake account reports by these referrers with all other data we have to detect and determine fake accounts.
In case some referrers unintentionally or mistakenly report a real Pioneer team member, you can undo your report by tapping on the gray caution icon to the left of the member's name.
This feature is not intended to enable referrers to maliciously harm or threaten real Pioneers on their earning teams. Should such behavior occur and be reported to us, we will consider a penalty for such behavior.
Remove members from the earning team chat
We added the ability for the Referrer to remove members from their earning team chats, available in a dropdown menu in the upper right hand corner inside the earning team chat room itself. This feature is meant to solve the need that the Referrer has more control over the accessibility of their earning team chat to protect their privacy and prevent spam or trolling, given that their referrer code can be used by anyone on the internet to join their earning team. While some earning team members may be complete strangers to the Referrer, they are not necessarily malicious fake accounts like the case above and should not be treated so with the above “Report” feature.
Filter earning team member list
This filter feature allows the referrer to have cleaner views of their earning team member list. The options as follow are accessible through the dropdown in the upper right corner on your Earning Team list:
Display everyone (current default view).
Display only actively mining members.
Hide reported members (Display active and inactive members).

I recently also started to mine Pi. I would be interested to increase my earning team or to join another one. Do you know how to manage that as an existing Pi user? I can only import users from my contacts and there are no other Pi users there. What is the identifiaction? Email? Phone number? My nick in Pi is "noadvice", maybe you can manage to get me into your earning team...
