Insect Portrait Project

Some more images from my Insect Portrait Project, you can read a previous post on HIVE about the background of it HERE. But to cut a long story short, I use the 'studio set-up' to help the viewer appreciate the beauty of each insect without any distractions.

And that includes Flies, they are just as beautiful as any other insect...

Technically, its not actually that difficult (2 pieces of card and a single flash) it does require bucket loads of patience waiting for the insect to 'pose' in the right position, and plenty of time in photoshop cleaning up the image
