I love this time of year in the UK, when you start to see all the little creatures and plants come back in the garden from a winters hibernation.
It's been rather wet and cool in the UK though, for the time of year at least, we did have a mini heat-wave in April, but May has certainly made up for the lack of rain back then.
I was in the front garden, looking for interesting subjects, when I found this spider, just so you can get an idea of the size, the leaf that the spider is on, is not a leaf, it's a blade of grass. It was really small and was lucky to see it, although took some finding with the macro les and the Raynox 250 fitted for added closeness.
I also found this Bee in a dandelion, I thought the bee was dead at first, but it was slowly moving around the flower, I think it was just finding somewhere to rest as the weather has been rather cool today, hopefully it'll warm up for it soon.
I also found this lovely little hover fly on a dandelion too, with it being cold, the insects etc wasn't as active as they can be in warm weather, so managed to bag a few shots. The downside though is that there aren't as many insects around as I'd like.
