BAYANIHAN ACTION: WE HARVESTED CORN ON FIELD! (part 1)

Hello everyone! Greetings from Philippines! How are you all?I hope that you're all fine despite of this pandemic.

Have you already heard about BAYANIHAN?If no,I can tell you the meaning of this.

Bayanihan is one of Filipino culture which is TO HELP EACH OTHER,WORKING TOGETHER TO LESSEN THE OVERLOAD WORKS.

So that's what we did for today!

Actually today is a tiring day but we still enjoy!We harvested the yellow corn of my uncle in the field near to our house. We started at 7-8 in the morning and begun to harvest.

We wore facemask and some personal protective equipment like gloves,hat, mask, long sleeves. Since it's pandemic we also need to protect our selves though we are only neighbors.

Me and my sister,ate Jenzel and one of my sisters classmate which is our neighbors went harvest too. We four are all teens but we are not shame to do this kind of work. Cause we know that if we don't do anything,we can not survive in poverty. We need to be courageous and industrious in life so that we can earn money to supply our needs. And if there's a chance to earn a money even in simple and in a good way then we will accept it atleast we put efforts in what we are doing.

Ohh by the way let's go back in our topic HARVESTING..

We are all 9 persons who harvested the corn at field with 1 hectar.My uncle invites our neighbors to come with us and helps us to harvest. Since they are all industrious and helpful,they came. They are also arrived early and we started the work early so that we can also finish it early.

We had a snacks at 10:30 for us to eat and rest even just a little bit.
After that we went on work again,we only had 10 minutes break I guess.
At 11:45 they called us again to have a lunch and then we go!
After lunch we got a rest and at 1:35 pm we went on work again.

The weather is not too hot in the morning, since it's not we have more energy to works faster. But the sun shines dazzlingly and so hot!And that's the reason we got tired.

We finished picking the corn at 3 pm but we also put the stocks corn to the sacks we didn't put the corn directly to the sacks while picking because it's hassle!

We are not yet done in putting the corn in sacks. We will continue that tommorow.😊

Girl's don't worry,your efforts are not in vain!

Since they are all industrious and they came when we need them in harvesting,my ankle gave them 300 pesos (6.18 USD) as their salary.

Even though they received money we also call that bayanihan action cause they came in time we really need them. And they help us to make the work easier by doing that all together.
