Saludos mi querida comunidad, algunas leyendas urbanas se han convertido en una tradición para quienes desean conocer más sobre la historia de una ciudad. Los fantasmas en mi ciudad también forman parte de la memoria del gentilicio, y pese a que con poca exactitud se conoce la historia detrás de cada uno de ellos, quedan grabada en la memoria de quien dice que lo vivió, y esos relatos siguen vivos en nuestra ciudad.
Greetings my dear community, some urban legends have become a tradition for those who want to know more about the history of a city. The ghosts in my city are also part of the memory of the people, and despite the fact that the story behind each of them is not known exactly, they are etched in the memory of those who say they lived it, and those stories are still alive in Our city.
“La Enfermera del Central” // "The Nurse of the Central"
My city houses many stories in its old walls and one of the most popular is "The Nurse of the Central Hospital". This legend dates back to the 80s. According to some, his soul wanders the corridors attending to patients and then disappears. Over the years a lot has been commented on this story in that healthcare center, some assert that the so-called apparition is about one of the nuns who served there in the past, during the first foundations of what is today the Hospital.
Mi ciudad alberga en sus antiguas paredes muchas historias y una de las más populares es “La Enfermera del Hospital Central”. Esta leyenda data de los años 80. Según algunos, su alma deambula por los pasillos atendiendo a pacientes para luego desaparecer. A lo largo de los años mucho se ha comentado sobre esta historia en ese centro asistencial, algunos aseveran que la denominada aparición se trata de una de las monjas que prestaba servicio allí en antaño, durante los primeros cimientos de lo que es hoy el Hospital.
El Espíritu del Saladillo // The Spirit of Saladillo
At the beginning of this decade the Torres del Saladillo attracted the most incredulous, when one of its inhabitants photographed the disturbing image of a horror known as: La Novia. According to some of the residents, it is about a woman who threw herself into the void when she discovered the infidelity of her husband. According to the locals since then, his soul wanders in the surroundings, but especially in one of the elevators of the yellow tower.
A principios de esta década las Torres del Saladillo atrajeron a los más incrédulos, cuando una de sus habitantes fotografiara la perturbadora imagen de un espanto conocido como: La Novia. De acuerdo a algunos de los residentes se trata de una mujer que se lanzó al vacío al descubrir la infidelidad de quien sería su esposo. Según los lugareños desde ese entonces, su alma vaga en los alrededores, pero especialmente en uno de los ascensores de la torre amarilla.
La Caballero // The Knight

De todas las historias de fantasmas de Mi ciudad esta es la más conocida y es que el 27 de septiembre de 1891 un misterioso crimen tocó la imaginación pueblerina de una ciudad iluminada aún por luces de gasoil, la victima Josefa Caballero y el escenario, la Casa de la Capitulación. Tras su oscuro homicidio Josefa Caballero aparece en el salón principal de esta casa, quienes transitan de noche aseguran escuchar objetos caer además de espantosos gritos. La Caballero –como le llaman los más cercanos al histórico recinto- ha sido vista no solo por trabajadores de allí, sino por visitantes, como si el fantasma escogiera quien la pueda ver, tal vez para susurrarle el inmortal secreto sobre quién fue su verdadero asesino.Hasta ahora se sabe únicamente que su cuerpo moribundo fue llevado al «Hospitalito» y que el cuarto donde todo pasó, fue cerrado para que nadie más volviera a entrar allí.
Llanto en la Vereda del Lago // Crying in the Lake Side
Another story is "La Dama de la Vereda", according to the stories it was about a woman who saw her son drown in Lake Maracaibo at the beginning of the last century, many say that at night when there is a strong waves the woman walks the shore asking for help to rescue the body of the child.
Otra de las historias es “La Dama de la Vereda”, de acuerdo a los relatos se trató de una mujer que vio a su hijo ahogarse en el Lago de Maracaibo a principios del siglo pasado, muchos aseguran que en las noches cuando hay un fuerte oleaje la mujer camina la orilla pidiendo ayuda para rescatar el cuerpo del pequeño.
La Pasajera que Desaparece // The Disappearing Passenger

Una pasajera peculiar atormenta a los choferes de la línea Milagro, desde la década de los 90, pues algunos aseguran que una mujer extiende su mano frente al Hospital Central y que se monta en la parte de atrás del vehículo, al rato, cuando el trayecto ya toca la zona de La Calzada, voltean la mirada solo para ver como la mujer desaparece. Pese a que no hay registro relacionado al caso muchos aseguran que la situación ha provocado choques en el lugar y además que está historia tiene una versión que visten el lado fantasmagórico de mi ciudad, cuando supuestamente un jinete sobre una bestia embiste contra los carros que transitan a la altura del extinto Club Alianza.
Esa Casa está Embrujada // That House is Haunted
Some old houses located on Avenida Baralt, 5 de Julio and Indio Mara are the center of attention and other stories related to exorcisms and a dark energy, however, the versions are many, but between superstition and imagination the truth is that if one inquires into the history of the unexplained facts, surely one will find testimonies as reliable as those that are experienced.
Algunas viejas casonas ubicadas en la avenida Baralt, 5 de Julio e Indio Mara son el centro de las miradas y de otras historias relacionadas a exorcismos y a una energía oscura, sin embargo, las versiones son muchas, pero entre la superstición y la imaginación lo cierto es que si se indaga en la historia de los hechos inexplicados de seguro se encontrarán testimonios tan fidedignos como aquellos que se experimenten.
