I still recall a conversation with the Crypto community here about how the expansion of the many ecosystem being created around the social aspect of blockchain will lead to many failures and successes. In saying that it will not be impossible seeing payoffs with some projects in the future. In essence, I referred to many projects and initiatives as lottery tickets for the future. It turns out that one has already proven to be one for me, the HUNT tokens!
HUNT was one of the interesting projects that originated on Steem and has continued to develop despite the bear market it was developed during. It was originally distributed via an AirDrop with many other opportunities to accumulate around the engagement with the community around the project. In my personal case, I recall spinning the lucky link for tokens a couple of times a day when provided the opportunity. As the project developed and despite my lack of more formal engagement, I was able to accumulate over 10k tokens.
I eventually was able to send them to a wallet and hold (or HODL) as these potential lottery tickets for the future. I recently had started capitulating my crypto assets on these blockchains and saw of some unexpected value in one of the wallets. I quickly saw the increased value and got back to seeing the progress the project has had. Since my focus has been on concentrating my efforts on assets and projects I know and can leverage within my expertise, I decided to capitulate and move into ETH. I wonder what other lottery tickets may exist out there in the future?
