Kill Switch on your VPN? What is it? A story about John and his trip to New York.

in #peakdlast year

John had always been careful when it came to his online privacy and security. So, when he planned a trip to New York City, he made sure to download a reputable VPN app on his phone to protect his internet connection while he was away from home.

As he walked around the busy streets of New York, he connected to the VPN and started using his phone to check his emails and browse social media. However, as he was crossing the street, he accidentally dropped his phone and the screen shattered into pieces.

Panicked, John quickly picked up his phone and noticed that his VPN connection had been lost. Without the VPN, his online activity would be vulnerable to prying eyes and he could be exposed to cyber threats.

Thankfully, John had enabled the Kill Switch feature on his VPN app. As soon as his VPN connection was lost, the Kill Switch automatically blocked all internet traffic from his device, preventing his real IP address and online activity from being exposed.

As he made his way back to his hotel to get his phone repaired, John was relieved to know that he was still protected by the Kill Switch feature on his VPN app.

Later that day, John learned that his phone had been hacked while he was connected to a public Wi-Fi network in a coffee shop. If he had not enabled the Kill Switch on his VPN app, his personal information could have been stolen and his trip could have been ruined.

Thanks to the Kill Switch feature on his VPN app, John was able to enjoy his trip to New York without any worries about his online privacy and security. From that day on, he made sure to always enable the Kill Switch on his VPN app, no matter where he was.
