It seems that a new game is all the rage. It's called Prison Empire Tycoon, offered on the Apple and GooglePlay Stores. Yup, a prison game, where people simulate operating a prison like other "Tycoon" games like Rollercoaster Tycoon. This time it's making money by running a prison.
Hold the reins of the business and become rich reforming prisoners around the world.

Sound great, right? You too can be like the greedy corrupt corporations that make profits from locking up non violent offenders of arbitrary state laws. Smoke pot? Go to jail and make money for the private prisons. Even if cannabis is legalized, it doesn't matter, there are plenty of other non violent so-called crimes that feed the prison system.
The game indoctrinates people further into accepting the prison system. You get to help society by paying good people to manage "lowlifes". I'm not sure much conditioning needs to be done, since most people love this game. It's ranked #1 in Strategy games in the Apple Store, and is even an Editor's Choice for Android.
Learn to love the broken system. Learn to love putting people in prison and looking at them as lowlifes who deserve it. Money matters. Learn to force these people to work for your profit margin as slave labor being paid dollars per day for their labor.
The prison industrial complex is being sold as cool, just like the military industrial complex has with their games that make people feel like heroes and sell them on an illusion of stopping evil-doers. People buy into this crap and further the war mongering agenda and imprisonment of non violent people who break arbitrary laws that governments make. Normalizing government oppression. Great.

The game Im playing currently is from the makers of Prison Architect , which was also pretty beloved but if its like Rimworlds it is prty dark at times. It seems that this apple game is inspired by Prison Architect but more aimed at children.
