HivePH is a group of Filipino bloggers and crypto-enthusiasts with the mission of helping others become successful here on the #Hive platform. The weekly blogging contest is one of the ways we aim to do this. In connection with this, we also want to improve financial literacy through blogging.

For the fourth week of October, the theme we have chosen is:

4th Week: A Reflection on Implementing Your Budget Plan and Summary of the Data for the past 30 days.

This is the last topic on the theme of financial literacy and financial education so we thought that reflecting on the personal learning for this theme might be beneficial to those who participated. Of course, it has been a tough and difficult journey to share about this topic so we have had a few number of entries and only ONE (1) who completed the 4th weekly blogging challenge.

Financial literacy has not been the most popular topic for Filipinos even though we love to read about money making schemes and projects, business, and entrepreneurship. We know the importance of finances in our lives but knowledge passed down from the preceding generation has been lacking, to say the least, hence, many of us fail in this area of our life. And that is one of the reasons why we are here. We would like to change that to be able to bring about a more financially savvy and literate community that knows about personal finance and wealth creation.

So, without further ado, this week's entry and the WINNER!

1. What I have learned while tracking expenses
Mula kay: @jenthoughts

I already mentioned it inmy previous article about this challenge but I want to write it again. Tracking our expenses will help us know where every peso goes. It will help us decide how much budget we would allocate for a specific need. On the otherhand, it will also shows us what thing cost us a lot and for sure we have a lot of expenses in food.

And, the winner is: @jenthoughts
Congratulations!

And, that concludes our financial literacy and education month blogging contests. Four weeks of looking at your financial health and ways to improve and plan out for a better future. The low turn out of entries showed us that there is a need for more of these topics in the future. The quality of the entries, however, did not disappoint.

For sure, we will be running another one in the near future. And, that's it for now, wishing everyone a fruitful and productive November. If you want to join our weekly blogging contests, you may click here for the November topics.
