Its my first day of duty here at the Municipal Isolation Unit. Its my last shift for 2020, and my next duty will be on January 1st.

I heard the province of Leyte has already endorsed a resolution for the suspension of Returning Residents for the whole month of December, but we don't have any update yet.

The quarantine and isolation staff here in our province, also in other provinces, needed this month long break. It has been 9 months that we have been dealing with all these COVID-19 dramas, and I'm pretty sure everyone's physically, emotionally and mentally exhausted already.

Happy that the number of confirmed cases here in our province is not increasing. Hoping that things will get better next year, and we somehow could learn how to live with the virus. Yes, we have to live with COVID-19 coz its here to stay, and we gotta find ways to continue our lives, because we can't pause everything for a long time.

Praying that our leaders will be able to conceptualize effective and sustainable solutions and people will be responsible enough to follow all minimum public health protocols. 🙏🏻
