Magic portals - Light Painting Photography

This shot was an attempt to mix my normal geometric style with some more fluid and organic light calligraphy and consisted of a whole bunch of tools.

I started off with a large rectangular acrylic blade, attached to a torch on strobe mode and spun in a circle by hand. That gave the outer circle.

Next up was a swap to the magilight (programmable led strip) with a home made pattern, again spun in a circle by hand to make the inner circle.

Then the plasma was done with an acrylic rod from light painting paradise attached to a colour changing torch.

Once the geometric bit was done I switched to a couple of calligraphy tools to draw the central pillar which also helps hide my feet!

Bit of colour down the tunnel and job done

It seems to me an excellent photographic work. But being honest I didn't understand the explanation except for the job to hide your feet. Thanks for sharing the technique. A cordial greeting @steem.tom.hill
