Desert - Light Painting in the Namib

in #photofeed3 years ago

Desert of Sossusvlei, Namibia

During the last Namibia trip, in 2017, I got to also visit Sossusvlei. One of those magnificent places that take your breath away. To light paint, there is not exactly easy. There is tons of wildlife and maybe something that wants to kill you.

During this shoot, there were two Orix fighting in the background jamming their heads into each other. Bang Bang Bang again and again. Skriking the horizon with the flashlight reveals the millions of reflections of the eyes of everyone who is looking at you. Eyes reflecting greenish and white. You don't see the ones not looking at you that very moment. One keeps thinking how many are out there.

Anyhow. I was not some much worried. The shot was not so difficult and it did not take very long. Knowing there is a Leopard out there makes you keep it short.

Just setting some simple colors and getting our asses back to the camp. Simple, easy, and fast.
