Flower Power - Light Painting

Mom's Garden at night

As you have seen in my most recent post I spend the night between my mother's gardens potts. Here are some Light Paintings of the most subtle and most simples lighting technique. Simple only by principle, to make it look good it takes some practice not to burn out areas and not to underexpose areas. Nice equal light distribution is in contrast to what the method seems not so easy.

The challenge here is that the flowers move in the wind and are in different fields in the plane.

To light them from the sides and from the back makes them glow.

When you want to highlight a particular bushel of flowers they can get a bit longer exposed to the light.

Just using my go-to face scanner is here super useful for some roses and wrapping them in light - this time though I make sure the scanner itself is not seen in the image.

Spending some time in the countryside cottage. During the day it was an ocean of colors. That stimulated some creative play in the garden. As mentioned before my more has about 300 pots and plants. Most of the plants are in full blossom at the moment. I set up the camera and chose one Light Painting tool, and started playing around on the deck. She loves her Photos to be featured in this way.
