it always makes my heart happy when we find Orca cruising around on the Antarctic peninsula. It makes my heart even more happier, if that is actually possible, when we find orca during a stunning evening with a beautiful sunset light.
These Type B orca we picked up at the end of our daily excursions on the peninsula and we started to transit along the Gerlache Strait. The light was quite amazing as these curious apex predators investigated our vessel swimming up to the ship, swimming under it and around it for about 30 minutes before continuing on their way. Once I checked the photographs I took, I was quite stoked to see I was lucky enough to capture a few moments that capitulated the experience we had with these orca.
