Hey guys! Recently I had the idea to get creative with my crystal ball again. Already some days before I had dealt a bit with light painting and so I thought, why not combine crystal ball photography and light painting? After a few unsuccessful attempts, I finally found out how to achieve impressive shots quite easily!
Hallo Leute! Neulich kam ich auf die Idee, mich mal wieder kreativ mit meiner Glaskugel zu beschäftigen. Bereits einige Tage zuvor hatte ich mich etwas mit Lichtmalerei befasst und so dachte ich, warum nicht mal Glaskugel-Fotografie und Lichtmalerei kombinieren? Nach einigen Fehlversuchen, fand ich schließlich heraus, wie man relativ einfach, beeindruckende Aufnahmen erzielen kann!

I hope you like my results and I would like to tell you how you can achieve the same results without much effort and equipment! All you need, besides your camera and a tripod, is a crystal ball, a mirror and your mobile phone!
Ich hoffe, euch gefallen meine Ergebnisse und ich möchte euch auch verraten, wie ihr selbst, ohne großen Aufwand und ohne viel Equipment, dieselben Ergebnisse erzielen könnt! Alles was ihr dafür braucht, ist neben eurer Kamera und einem Stativ, eine Glaskugel, ein Spiegel und euer Handy!
And that's how it's done:/Und so wird’s gemacht:
put a big mirror flat on the floor and place your glass ball somewhere in the middle of the mirror!
place the tripod with the camera in front of the mirror, as shown in the picture above!
set the exposure time of your camera to 10 seconds and the self-timer to 10 seconds as well!
now your phone comes into play. Activate the photo LED so that it lights up permanently! (Alternatively you can also use a small LED torch.)
adjust the focus of your camera so that the ball is in focus and press the shutter button!
while the 10 seconds of the self-timer are running down, turn off the light and stand behind the mirror with your mobile phone!
during the 10 seconds exposure time you "paint" a pattern into the air with your mobile phone! (The LED must always point in the direction of the camera)
Once the exposure time has expired, you can admire the fascinating result on your camera. Repeat this process several times and draw different patterns! There are no limits to your creativity!
1. Legt einen großen Spiegel flach auf den Boden und platziert eure Glaskugel ungefähr in der Mitte vom Spiegel!
2. Stellt das Stativ mit der Kamera vor den Spiegel, wie oben im Bild ersichtlich!
3. Stellt die Belichtungszeit eurer Kamera auf 10 Sekunden und den Selbstauslöser ebenfalls auf 10 Sekunden ein!
4. Nun kommt euer Handy ins Spiel. Aktiviert die Foto-LED, sodass sie dauerhaft leuchtet! (Alternativ könnt ihr auch eine kleine LED-Taschenlampe verwenden)
5. Stellt den Fokus eurer Kamera so ein, dass die Kugel scharf abgebildet ist und drückt den Auslöser!
6. Während die 10 Sekunden des Selbstauslösers hinunterlaufen, schaltet ihr das Licht aus, und stellt euch mit eurem Handy hinter den Spiegel!
7. Während der 10 Sekunden Belichtungszeit „malt“ ihr nun mit eurem Handy ein Muster in die Luft! (Die LED muss dabei immer in Richtung der Kamera zeigen)
8. Ist die Belichtungszeit abgelaufen, könnt ihr das faszinierende Ergebnis auf eurer Kamera bewundern. Wiederholt diesen Ablauf mehrmals und zeichnet verschiedene Muster! Eurer Kreativität sind keine Grenzen gesetzt!

Wo bekommt man so eine Glaskugel her muss sicher eine exakt runde sein oder?
Danke dir! 🙂 Die bekommst du zum Beispiel bei Amazon. Rund sind sie eigentlich alle, der Zusatz "Foto-Qualität" ist wichtiger!
Okay "Foto-Qualität" heißt dann das sie möglich klar sind und nicht Bläschen oder so darin sind ... hmm vielleicht ist der Weihnachtsmann ja dieses Jahr großzügig 😃

I thank you for sharing it with us how it is done to give us an opportunity to try it ourselves. But we will need a camera like yours to achieve this, am I right? It is so unbelievable beautiful, such photography could be printed and decorate modern offices. Thank you for sharing that secret how to create those scenes with using simple equipment that almost everybody has at home. It is no wonder that everything genial is simple.
