... through the narrow pathways surrounded by walls of Mediterranean vegetation ...
... to the blooming meadows near the sea ...

... you'll notice that the leaves of the shrubs along the road are filled with young crickets ...
... and this one looks like one of the many, jumping around these green walls ...
... but things can be deceptive ... not everything is as it seems ... if you take the look behind the insect ...
... you'll see that is caught by a crab spider ...
...this cricket is dying and soon will be eaten ...
... occasionally you can see flowers in groups, coloring these green walls...
... on them, you can find many creatures and interesting situation ...
... like this pair of small wasps ... the female is eating something very, very small ( the wasps themselves are pretty small already ) ...
... or this ... another white crab spider ...
... and then the bumblebee, passing by, stopping at the same flower ...
... a very short visit ... looks like the spider wasn't prepared ... or was in the wrong position on the flower ...
... you can often see this type of spider catching bumblebees like that one ... but not this time ...
... here is another, different crab spider ... I see this one rarely ...
... here is in ambush ... while some small black beetles are running around on the flowers...
... and very soon ... the spider caught one ...
... you can hardly find an empty flower ... this place is filled with small animals ... some sort of bee here ...
... a beetle or a bumblebee there ...
... a fly ...
... a group of beetles ... on every flower something ...
... and a lot of pollen all over the place ...
... going further down the road you'll see these small cicada relatives...
... more bumblebees of various types ...
... some hanging on these clusters of small hanging flowers ...
... you'll see some interesting details on the ground too ... like this thorny little plant ...
... on some leaves, you can find young green crickets in a strange position ...
... it's a form of camouflage ... is hard to spot them ...
... until they move ...
... you can see many species of beetles on this plant ...
... these very small ones, ad example ...
... these ones are a bit larger ...
... but still pretty small ...
... these too ... and also similar in shape ...
... then there are these big ones ...
... with long antennae ...
... sometimes you can see a flower that has fallen on the leaves ... a cool floral arrangement ...
... but when we finally arrive on the open meadows ...
... you'll witness a real explosion of blooming ...
... this area is covered with a great variety of beautiful flowers...
... big yellow dandelions ...
... mixed with smaller ones in different shades of sunny yellow ...
... and then these others, completely different yellow beauties ...
... filled with beetles ...
... various species of orchids ...
... always interesting ...
... and often ...
... absolutely strange looking ...
... sometimes the plants are intertwined and you can see different sorts of flowers in cool, kind of poetic, correlations

... there are many of these orchids ...
... in similar variations ...
... occasionally you can see a little mushroom ... very unusual for an open meadow in this time of year ...
... and then more flowers ...
... many different kinds...
... many elegant shapes and geometries ...
... this is some sort of wild onion ...
... on one of these flowers...
... a small spider has captured a pretty big black ant ...
... and some bee has soon arrived ...
... and started to collect the nectar ...
... ignoring the scene ...
... you can always count on some action on the flowers ...
... sometimes the pollen from toller flowers falls on those down, near ground ...
... these colorful meadows are very uplifting places ...
... from time to time you will come across these lovely islands ...
... made of white flowers ...
... they look like bouquets that someone has thrown while passing by ...
... it is difficult not to get high here, with so many colors and perfumes ... including that beautiful salty aroma of the Adriatic sea ...
... maybe you are asking yourself, right now, something like '' Will this scrolling ever come to an end ?''...
... well ...
... :) ... I can tell you ...
... yes !!!!!...
... :D we are almost there ...

The insects, the flowers. Everything is beautiful.
:) Always glad to share, and glad that someone finds these little things beautiful or interesting, :) or both. I think you would see those details, these days there are great quantities of flowers and small animals in places like this, you don't have to search for them, literally, everywhere you look there will be some flower, spider, bumblebee or butterfly in sight ... or occasionally a lizard, snake or bird too ...
So beautiful, as always! I think I am addicted to the flowers. I love your little journeys!
Always something interesting here in spring... and summer ... and autumn is also cool ... only the winter is kind of bland and boring, not cold enough to be dramatic or snowy, not warm enough to be pleasant, only short days, often rain and no insects outdoors and not many flowers.
That sounds like here! Our winters are usually pretty boring. The other three seasons are a joy to behold!
