I made some impulse buys after getting a new scanner and picked up a huge batch of slides a while back. These pictures span from as early as the late 1940s to as late as the early 1990s. These were from Goodwill and eBay (sometimes via estate sales). There are many thousands of these slides. I will be scanning some from time to time and posting them here for posterity.
This set continues a large batch of slides that originally came from an estate sale and appear to have belonged to a locally well known photographer from the Spokane Washington area named Leo Oestreicher, or perhaps a friend or family member of his. These slides contain some landscape and portrait photos but also a lot of typical snapshot photos. All of the photos in this set were taken in August 1957. The first, though a bit overexposed, shows a young family. The second shows a girl playing with a cat with a ball of yarn in front of a 1950s era (of course) TV. The third shows three couples (Assuming one of the individuals is taking the picture) having a picnic or just hanging out by the shore of what is probably a lake or river. The last photo is of a group of kids. It looks like they are in a basement somewhere? It looks like they are all holding balloons that have not yet been inflated...maybe a birthday or other party...
