Most dangerous animals of Japan in my photography

Oh deer

Japan has many places where you can experience being surrounded by animal. Nara Deer Park or Itsukushima Island are just one of the examples.

Rabbit Island

But the coolest place in my opinion is Okunoshima Island also called a Rabbit Island near Hiroshima. Well not that near cuz it took me around 3 hours to get there with a local trains (BTW the landscapes of the hills and forests are beautiful so the journey is plea. Then you take a ferry and you meet them:

They can be found all over the island and most paths up in the mountains are empty because tourists stick to lower parts.

You can buy some special food to feed them but to be honest they are overfeeded and not really into it anymore.

Views are worth hiking but there are lots of big buzzing insects.

Wonder how did they got there? Well they had been used for testing biological weapons and after the war they got released to live free on this island. Act of satisfaction to repay them pain? You can see the chemical plant buildings:

I have been to Nara Deer Park in the 1980's. The photos brought back good memories.

Pretty wild stuff... anything on the island now besides tourists and the animals?

Chemical weapons musem and WWII bunkers.

Nice! Those rabbits are so cute. Had to give Nara a miss the last time we were in Japan but it looks well worth the visit.

Thanks. Well Nara is mostly about the deers.

Why do most animals look extra cute over there? :D

Everything is kawaii!!
