Una Aventura a la Cima del Cerro… An Adventure to the Top of the Hill...

Hola queridos amigos!... Hoy le quiero contar una aventura muy genial, como todos saben ya no es muy común salir de casa, así que cuando hay una oportunidad hay que aprovecharla.

Hello, dear friends.!... Today I want to tell you a very cool adventure, as everybody knows it is not very common to leave home anymore, so when there is an opportunity you have to take it.

El fin de semana pasado fuimos a estirar las piernas subiendo un cerro que está cerca de casa, cuando miramos hacia arriba parecía corto el camino pero para mí fue bastante largo.

Last weekend we went to stretch our legs climbing a hill that is close to home, when we looked up it seemed a short way but for me it was quite long.

En la foto pueden ver cuando comenzábamos a subir, ya se podía apreciar la ciudad.

In the picture you can see when we started to climb, you could already see the city.

Esta excursión estaba pendiente, ya que desde hace como dos años queríamos subir, mi emoción era muy grande, no sabía lo que iba a poder ver desde allá.

This excursion was pending, since we had wanted to go up for about two years, my emotion was very great, I did not know what I would be able to see from there.

Cuando habíamos caminado pocos metro tomamos esta foto para darles una idea el tamaño del camino, el circulo naranja en la imagen muestra una bandera de Venezuela en la cima, hasta allá debemos llegar.

When we had walked a few meters we took this picture to give you an idea of the size of the road, the orange circle in the picture shows a Venezuelan flag at the top, that's as far as we have to go.

El intenso sol que pega a diario se puede notar en el camino, todo está seco, muy pocas matas se pueden ver de color verde y en algunas partes está lleno de cenizas a causa de pequeños incendios.

The intense sun that hits daily can be noticed on the road, everything is dry, very few bushes can be seen green and in some parts it is full of ashes because of small fires.

Cuando llegamos a la cima, confirmo lo que me decían, lo que hay en la cima del cerro es una cruz y en la cruz sujetaron una bandera.

When we reached the top, I confirmed what they were telling me, what is on the top of the hill is a cross and on the cross they held a flag.

Le pregunte a mi madre quien coloco la cruz en ese sitio, me dijo que no lo sabía, ella cuando estaba pequeña también pregunto y sus tíos le dijeron que cuando ellos llegaron y comenzaron a construir las casas la cruz ya estaba allí.

I asked my mother who put the cross there, she said she didn't know, she also asked when she was little and her uncles told her that when they arrived and started building the houses the cross was already there.

Para los que sienten curiosidad, esta es la ciudad de Maracay Estado Aragua – Venezuela. Este paseo me sirvió de mucho ya que actualmente estoy estudiando cuales son los municipios que conforman el estado Aragua.

For those who are curious, this is the city of Maracay. Aragua State - Venezuela. This tour was very useful for me since I am currently studying which are the municipalities that make up the state of Aragua.

Si observan bien por toda la ladera del cerro se puede ver un camino porque andan muchas personas haciendo caminatas, cuando estábamos subiendo nos encontramos un grupo de cinco personas.

If you look around the hill, you can see a path because there are many people walking around. When we were climbing, we found a group of five people.

Del lado contrario a la ciudad se pueden ver dos lagunas y una pequeña parte de vegetación verde que mi padre dice parece un pantano.

On the opposite side of the city you can see two lagoons and a small part of green vegetation that my father says looks like a swamp.

Avanzamos un poco por uno de los caminos en dirección norte.

We're moving forward a little on one of the northbound roads.

Al caminar un poco más se podían ver mejor las lagunas, al parecer allí hay unas culebras de hasta dos metros y medio de largo.

By walking a little more you could see the lagoons better, apparently there are some snakes up to two and a half meters long.

Cuando regresamos a la cruz, nos detuvimos a descansar un rato, les pregunte a mis padres porque estando allí no conseguimos más personas, solo las que iban bajando, mi padre me dijo que por la hora, ya casi eran las diez de la mañana y el sol ya comenzaba a estar más intenso.

When we returned to the cross, we stopped to rest for a while, I asked my parents why we did not get more people there, only those who were coming down, my father told me that by the time, it was almost ten o'clock in the morning and the sun was already beginning to be more intense.

Por el Sur se acercaban tres personas al parecer eran dos niños y un adulto, la cámara no logra enfocar a esa distancia.

Three people were approaching from the South, apparently two children and an adult, the camera cannot focus at that distance.

Llego la hora de despedirme del cerro así que grite dándole gracias a la vida por ser tan bella.

It's time to say goodbye to the hill, so I shouted thanks to life for being so beautiful.

Me siento muy feliz cuando salgo y hago esto, me gusta disfrutar mucho de estos paseos, en un comentario un amigo @mauromar me menciono que era mejor disfrutar que pensar cuanto podíamos durar y es muy cierto…

I feel very happy when I go out and do this, I like to enjoy these walks a lot, in a commentary a friend @mauromar mentioned to me that it was better to enjoy than to think how long we could last and it is very true...

Al comenzar a bajar volví a gritar muy duro, sé que algunas personas pueden escucharme porque cuando estoy en el patio de la casa escucho los gritos de los que andan por aquí, no se entiende que dicen pero se escuchan sus gritos.

When I started to go down I shouted again very hard, I know that some people can hear me because when I am in the courtyard of the house I hear the cries of those who are around, you can't understand what they are saying but you can hear their cries.
