My son and I took the kayaks out today. It was actually the first time we went on this lake. A friend of mine's brother drowned saving their son last year kayaking out in this backwater. We may have been the first to dare the waters since. Respect and all. But, we picnicked on the boats, paddled for several hours and obviously, caught some fish. Hope your weekend is gorgeous too!

Ah, the baits between the pads. I am a seasoned vet and have learned to 'walk' lures across the pads and then dip em between the spaces of water. Sometimes bass will grab them then and sometimes, swallow a whole lily pad to eat the lure. The paddling wasn't as hard as one might think. Glad you like my nails, you should see my toes 😁
