Some plants completely change their colours when stressed.
And when do they get stressed? When its too hot or too cold. Or when there is not enough water.
Like this carpobrotus that normally is lovely and green. After winter it looks like this. The new leave from the middle starts growing all green though.
I did not tweak the colours here. This is how purple they get! With the fleshy leaves and this colour they almost look like some candies :)
And when they bloom.. my oh my. The flowers is the size of an orange! Mostly yellow, but they also appear in pink. Near the beaches where the soil is very sandy it look like a carpet of yellow sunshine's. Amazing!

Amazing color! I love it. Natural stress makes them the most beautiful. :)
Agreed! I like it when they are red like that
It's the magic of the sun and the temperature!
Ahah who gives such pretty flowers.
Yeaa.. it is so cool to see them change the colours like that :)
