In Which We Find Wooden Clogs in Trees

The Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point ended this past weekend (sad day) but it was so great while it lasted!

One of the fun things they did was put together a little scavenger hunt. Well, my husband can't resist scavenger hunts, so we kept our eyes open. In this case, the gardeners had placed 15 classic wooden clogs -- each brightly painted -- in various spots throughout the park's gardens. Generally in trees, though there were a few exceptions. We sometimes had to backtrack to find one we'd missed, but it really added a fun little element to the event! And what a great nod to Holland and their famed tulips.

I gotta admit, I think my favorite ones were the ones that looked like Delft china -- especially having been to Delft personally!

So, mission accomplished! Scavenger hunt complete, all 15 clogs accounted for.
