Shooting this kind of image can be both infuriating as well as magnificent. I use incense sticks to get a good density of smoke and it seems that due to the nature of that smoke, you get to learn what kind of patterns are about to appear. It's a very strange experience. For the longest time, you will just get a straight column of smoke with no interest, and then all of a sudden, it will start folding around itself and create some of the most wonderful patterns. I am amazed at this one, with the three distinct "coils" of smoke, getting tighter the higher up they get. Quite fascinating really
