Almost exactly a year ago, I was on my first ski holiday of my life. I'm not a skier, so it was more of a fun-on-snow holiday for me. We drove with a group to Großvenediger, Austria and stayed there for almost a week. Our daughter loved it and for me it was also a new experience. Above all, I enjoyed the magnificent view, even from the balcony of our hotel.
Vor ziemlich genau einem Jahr war ich im ersten Skiurlaub meines Lebens. Ich bin kein Skifahrer, daher war es für mich eher ein Spaß-im-Schnee-Urlaub. Wir fuhren mit einer Gruppe zum Großvenediger, Österreich und blieben dort eine knappe Woche. Unsere Tochter liebte es und für mich war es auch eine neue Erfahrung. Ich genoß vor allem die grandiose Aussicht, sogar vom Balkon unseres Hotels.

Another highlight and one of the coolest things I've ever done in my life was to visit the toboggan run in Neukirchen. It is the longest illuminated toboggan run in the world, 14 kilometers from the summit down the hill. Super exhausting, but a lot of fun for less than an hour (for beginners like us)!
Ein weiteres Highlight und eine der coolsten Dinge, die ich je in meinem Leben gemacht hab, war der Besuch der Rodelbahn in Neukirchen. Es ist die längste beleuchtete Rodelbahn der Welt, 14 Kilometer vom Gipfel den Berg hinab. Super anstrengend, aber ein riesen Spaß für eine knappe Stunde (für Anfänger wie uns)!

In addition to this experience we were also able to experience first-hand that you should never be without snow chains in such an area by car. We got stuck in the blizzard and just brought the car to a nearby yard until the weather relaxed a little bit the next day. So the whole family went the last kilometer on foot to the hotel ...
Neben diesem Erlebnis durften wir auch erfahren, dass man niemals ohne Schneeketten mit dem Auto in einer solchen Gegend unterwegs sein sollte. Im Schneesturm blieben wir stecken und brachten das Auto gerade so in einen nahegelegenen Hof, bis das Wetter sich am nächsten Tag etwas entspannt hatte. Mit Kind und Kegel ging es den letzten Kilometer zu Fuß zum Hotel...

This year we will do the same holiday again, but a bit later and who knows - maybe I will learn skiing then ... Of course there were also many more pictures of this majestic landscape that I would like to share with you.
Dieses Jahr werden wir den gleichen Urlaub nochmal machen, allerdings etwas später und wer weiß - vielleicht lerne ich dann auch Skifahren...Natürlich gab´s auch noch viel mehr Bilder dieser majestätischen Landschaft, die ich mit euch teilen möchte.

You have beautiful hair, patschwork! And the photos that you took look so fantastic to me. They are very beautiful, blue and stark white. It doesn't snow over here so I'm always happy to look at snow in pictures and movies... I think it's better that way because I don't like too much cold hahaha.
Oh haha, my hair... this is one year ago and I still didnt take my time to go to the hairdresser, so I´m a monster right now.
