On the Edge
through bleary iris
along the reservoir's edge
the fabric is dissolved
heliotrope and indigo
fade to nimbus periwinkle
mute to lacklustre
argentine
the damask unravels
skirt the periphery
hot tears cascade
without end
wisteria helixes
clematis climbs
down into the abyss
far, far down below
silver and gems fold
nebula ignite
sort spectral chaos
smelt the molten globular
precipitate the planetary
time and attraction
alloy experience
kindle
wonder and awe
filigree in flames
creation
welded and danubed
deep under the edge
of the falls
desire and want are quenched
Descending
upon an undulating apex
shrouded in greying cumulus
I observe, celebrate, and weep
below
what
has
come
is laid out
a menagerie
of all things
imaginable
sand and glass
rock and soil
silt and mud
take measure and sort
I take measure and sort
clumsily-moulded
clay feet descend
upon once bright-ideas
reverse-engineering
to rust and brass
go quick look up
before the rungs somewhere
dissolve there is a light
my footsteps brand creation
shimmering, shining, glinting
dulled, decayed, and dim
faded to black
take measure and sort
I take measure and sort
I observe, celebrate, and weep

Great, I like both poems.
On the Edge came to me as a series of sci-fi and fantasy book titles. Sorry for a poor association :)
While Descending strangely resonates with a book I finished reading yesterday - La Tempête des échos by Danielle Dabos. Your work came first :)

Thank you so much, Ervin. Yes I can see the associations. I love to mix the scientific with the esoteric as I try to make sense of this reality.
Love so much that it resonated with you:)
Oof, I feel like I have faded to nimbus periwinkle today....lol j/k! I loved both of your poems but especially the first one, as I read it I felt like I was slowly cascading into oblivion only to have my consciousness phoenix back into the present. Your written word brain rides are always a blast Pryde:)
Love it ... love that I took you where I went. Yes, the Phoenix always rise again:)
I have a couple poems that might need some revisiting:)
Hope your day is going soaringly:)
You are really getting some sweet close ups, Pryde. May I say well done.
Thanks Paul. I got a new editing software. I think that helps:)
wow, nice photography.
Thank you:)
