Hello everyone!
As i mention in my last article part of exploring the city of Constanta was visiting The Casino and promenade area which is absolutely beautiful.
The Casino
It was designed by Daniel Renard between 1903-1907 and built in 1907-1910, who after finishing his studies in France returned in Romania where he designed many important projects. How ever none was as beautiful as the Casino in Constanta, a masterpiece of Art Nouveau architecture in Romania.
The whole promenade is pretty amazing, with gazebos and statues, surrounded by green.
Group of statues "The Fisherman" - Stone, sculptor Corneliu Medrea.
Monument dedicated to Romanian sailors who lost their lives in the sea.
Staue of Mihai Eminescu - Bronze, sculpto Oscar Han
The "Genovese" Lighthouse
The oldest lighthouse of Constanta City on the assumed location of an old genovese lighthouse was build by Armenian major Artin AAslan for "Danube & Black Sea Railway" English company the build the Cernavoda-Contsanta railway and modernized Constanta harbor. It was visited by Prince Carol I in October 1879 and functioned until 1913 when it was replaced by "Carol I" lighthouse from the mole of the commercial harbor.
