Spent the weekend at this nice cabin with Mersey River Chalets and Nature Retreat.
It was a nice quiet time of canoeing, fishing, and fires. Although nobody even got so much as a bite the entire weekend, it was still pretty nice just floating around in a canoe with the fly rod.
The sun setting along the tops of the trees and the crystal clear reflecting really make this photo pop.
They supply all the canoes and life jackets for free with the cabins and you just take what you want. It saved a lot of the effort to get my own canoe there.
@landonator got out for some canoe fishing with my brother. He picked up a fishing rod for the first time early this year and figured it out instantly. Next year he should be big enough to try the fly rod.
I flew the drone around a bit on Saturday morning. The wind started to pick up a bit after a while though. I didn't fly long but ended up with this nice shot of the river as the sun started to brighten everything up.
Then when the wind died down for the evening I took another flight around for this nice shot of the sun getting ready to set.
They're hard to see, but there are quite a few cabins in there among the trees. The cabins were well spaced out from each other so privacy wasn't an issue.
It's already started, but in another week or two, all this green will be orange and red when the leaves change.
