MyPictureDay #17 Contest Winners
Thank you to everyone who participated in the seventeenth MyPictureDay photography challenge. You gave me a really hard time picking the winners. With this round, we will double check every single post. Read the following rules carefully to avoid being disqualified! MyPictureDay is about going out, taking pictures and share your passion. It's about telling stories and capture moments for us. Using old pictures is against the essence of this contest.
There were many good entries and I proudly present you the first three places and some honorable mentions! Let us know how your PhotographyDay looks like! Grab your camera (or mobile phone) and go out, take some shots and share them on Steemit! The best PictureDay post gets 20 SBD onto his account, the second place 10 SBD and the third place 5 SBD.

Looking at the winners' entries, I can tell that it's not easy to win. You have to be dedicated to photography or really very lucky. All the shots are stunning! I can see no effortless cliches here. The first picture really shows a typical day not too far away from where I live. The place looks like my entry: Homeless before the whole place got demolished.

You have give best place for best photography. Take my respect. Mostly peoples love and talking about the beautiful side of this world. (Including me) but we are forgetting about another dark side of this world.

I appreciate the opportunity you gave to all @timsaid to connect and make new friends and learn and earn on steemit. For sure, many people never knew they are wasting incredibly rare talent on other social media platforms. When i see the type of well constructed posts people make on Facebook(for example), i look at wasted effort and money (personal opinion). Yesterday, i told a friend that we make money for these social media giants. If we did not put our data there, if we did not "send friend requests", if we did not share other people's post, if we did not do all the stuffs we do there, these companies would crumble. Since i got on steemit, i rarely have time to waste on other platforms. This is where you get value for effort. This is where you make money from content. And this where you build really lasting friendships. And anyone who supports this idea by making contest for people to get involved, I congratulate you and appreciate your efforts. And all of us who got involved and tried to establish relationships, your effort is worthwhile. If you don not gain now, you will gain sooner than later.

Congrats to the winners and honorable mentions. I particularly like "craftsmen rencong" by @rachmaddarmawan. I like the subject matter: I always love to see real crafts men at work. But I also like that they were taken with a smart phone yet look very appealing and professional. (I read another post today where someone wrote they needed a DSLR to be able to take good pictures, but the post by @rachmaddarmawan is proof that that is a myth)
this is awesome, I am from venezuela and I will participate in the challenge, although the real challenge will be to go out on the street with cell phone in hand to capture the photos, I say this because of the great insecurity that exists in the country but I will try to do it.
