Today I wanted to share some of the fun we had while visiting the Miami Seaquarium in Florida!
Miami Seaquarium Fun
When we were looking for things to do one day while on the way to the other hotel, I stumbled upon this thing called a Seaquarium. I didn't really know what they meant by that since most times I've ever been somewhere it's an aquarium but turns out the thing is right next to the ocean! I guess that's why they called it that?
In any case though this place actually ended up being a lot of fun to visit. The little man got to see all kinds of animals that we haven't seen much of before, particularly because we don't usually visit aquariums unless we're on vacation lol
There ended up being some pretty good trainers with the animals and a few different shows. We got to see the seals here and they were pretty entertaining!
They were quite the little acrobats which was fun, even though we were there in kind of an off season it was still a good show packed with all kinds of acrobatic stuff and demonstrations. The seals got ample treats for their work let me tell ya!
You could even get up close and personal with the friendliest and most tame one! Our son wasn't interested in doing that but did stand near it so we could get a photo of him with it lol some of the other kids were brave but none got close enough that it would be dangerous for the animal or kid which was good. Don't want to see any unnecessary injuries!
The little man's favorite though was definitely the dolphins! He loved the dolphin show and wanted to do it again when it was done lol he got to see all kinds of cool tricks like flips and stuff! We saw a dolphin show once before but he was a few years younger so he doesn't remember much. He certainly remembers this one though!
Apparently you could pay to have a swimming expedition with the dolphins but we opted out of that for a few reasons, mainly because our son can't swim too well yet. Fate worked out though, turns out one of the dolphins bit a trainer soon after we were there lol don't want one of us to get a little nibble!
The touch tanks here though was the complete highlight for him! He's a very tactile kid that's for sure so any time he gets to get his hands on something, he's all for that. This one here was some type of shark, obviously docile but it was the one that he got to spend the most time with so he really enjoyed that one.
The stingray is his favorite sea animal right now and we think that's because you can usually find an aquarium with stingrays in a tank that you can touch lol. The stingrays here weren't as friendly or bountiful as they were at other places but he still got to enjoy the experience so that was a solid win.
For a last minute find, this ended up being quite the little adventure! We're glad that we went on it and hope you enjoyed the photos and stories of the place as well!

I live in Florida & have never been, yet.., Hopefully, one day in the not too distant future, when one of my 20 nieces & nephews is visiting!
The Miami area wasn’t the nicest lol but the aquarium here was a lot of fun! Certainly a good place to visit!
