Hartshead Power Station was a coal-fired power station at Heyrod. Greater Manchester. It was opened in 1926, with the cooling towers being constructed in the 1940s. The station was closed in 1979 and demolished during the 1980‘S

What remains of the coal conveyor that fed the generator. Just visible in picture one top right corner. Most of this mooch was in the area between the cooling towers (I think!).
