Yesterday I commented, in the post about the solar car, how decentralized and independent energy production solutions could help us to alleviate the needs generated by the management of third parties, today I comment on another solution in this direction, a mini hydroelectric plant that is simple to build and not very expensive to supply 50 to 500 families.
Ayer comentaba, en el post sobre el coche solar, como las soluciones de producción energética descentralizadas e independientes podrían ayudarnos a paliar las necesidades generadas por la gestión de terceros, hoy os comento otra solución en esta dirección, una mini central hidroeléctrica sencilla de construir y no muy costosa para abastecer desde 50 hasta 500 familias.

Un par de jóvenes, en este caso de origen belga, en su afán de crear soluciones que nos ayuden a tener una vida mejor, han diseñado Turbulent, un sistema de turbinas hidráulicas de bajo coste y poco mantenimiento capaces de funcionar con cualquier curso de agua que tenga al menos un metro y medio de pendiente.

After studying the vortices that occur in the courses of rivers and canals and with the collaboration of a team of professionals, they were able to design hydroelectric turbines that can be installed in any water course, these small turbines can work individually generating from 15 to 70 kW or forming a network with other turbines if demand requires it.
Tras estudiar los vórtices que se producen en los cursos de ríos y canales y con la colaboración de un equipo de profesionales consiguieron diseñar unas turbinas hidroeléctricas que pueden instalarse en cualquier curso de agua, estas pequeñas turbinas pueden funcionar de forma individual generando de 15 a 70 kW o formando una red con otras turbinas si la demanda lo requiere.

No cabe duda que esta es una solución ideal para núcleos de población aislados a los que nunca llegará el tendido eléctrico, son fáciles de instalar, carecen de partes móviles salvo la turbina por lo que el mantenimiento que requieren es mínimo y tienen una vida útil muy larga lo que reduce sus costes y con todo puede abastecer de 50 a 500 familias ininterrumpidamente.
