UNCONSUMABLES

in #poem3 years ago
Is it too much to ask
For something outside
What humans attach to a dollar?

For a plump paradox
For a pleasing plenty
Slipping on a silk stocking thought

Dionysus chided my childish request
And would rather I reach for a substance

A consumable fume from grapes of old
That I continue reaching

I'd rather taste
Curved concepts

Feast my mind on a precept's figure
That I may brake my old way

To unleash something much bigger
