Introduction

Hey everyone! We've made it to Day 95 on the 100 Day Poetic Journey. Welcome to the last week (Week 14)! Week 14 officially began at 6 PM GMT on June 6th (Day 92). I made a basic spreadsheet showing the calendar dates for each day of the challenge, as well as when weeks begin, if you'd like to reference it. This final "week" has two extra days in it since 100 does not go into 7 evenly.

Comments and Weekly Finds

Please comment the results of your Week 13 Assignment on this post. Here's a reminder for what it needs to contain (structured however you prefer):

  1. The names of the two poets to whom you were assigned to leave impressions.
  2. Links to the poems you chose to leave them feedback on.
  3. A link to your "Weekly Find," which is one poem by anyone in the challenge in the past week you found notable.

If you'd like to get a poem of yours critiqued live during our Critique Thursday session you should DM Guy (Thunder_God#4441) on Discord the links to feedback you left in the past week and a poem of yours you want detailed feedback on by the Wednesday before. (It must be 250 words or less due to time constraints.) Even if you can't attend class you can get a piece reviewed because there will be an audio recording of the class for you to listen to at your leisure.

(You will leave the results of that assignment on the last update next week.)

Sort:

wow, last week. when I started this, I never knew if I would be able to complete it because of various factors. You have given us all the opportunity to remain dedicated and stick to the schedule by being the leading light.

The poets assigned to me were @dmilliz and @hazem91
A Choice (day 90) by @hazem91

and Peering into the ether ( 100 Days of Poetry ) {Day #89} by @dmilliz

and my weekly find is @dmilliz poem Peering into the ether ( 100 Days of Poetry ) {Day #89}

The two poets assigned were @ayahkasih and @mineopoly

These are the comments that I left in the poems

1st). @ayahkasih
(Day 88) HEART STILL BEATING HARDLY BREATHING

https://steemit.com/poetry/@firststeps/tracks-day-88

Greetings @d-pend and poets companions.I hug you all.

Having fulfilled the pending task, I present my results. The poets that were assigned to me this week were: @skodie and @mrbreeziewrites.

By @skodie
"One way street"
https://steemit.com/poetry/@skodie/day-87-one-way-street

Findings of the week
By @firststeps
"Full Circle" - Day 89. I loved the crescendo musicality of this poem, because it has a connection with the theme: rising violence in the world.
https://steemit.com/poetry/@firststeps/full-circle-day-89

By @ayahkasih
Love is never really new. I was attracted to the way in which the cycle of life as a couple is treated, the difficult coexistence, the solitude that accompanies the lack of coupling. How coexistence kills passionate love.

By @prydefoltz
Become Elemental, Day 90. This poem seduced my mind with its symbology and intentional didactic. Your message is a teaching.

The two poets assigned to me were @firststeps and @rexdickson

I commented on @firststep's Day's Last Breath.

I also commented on @rexdickson's Would You Still Love Me?.

My pick for the week is @firststep's Day's last breath

Thanks for the pick and the feedback. I’m glad you liked it. I’m really trying to stretch my craft beyond rhyme.

Hi @d-pend and all you lovely poets, really excited to be in our last week, well done everyone one.
I was assigned @spellmaker and @sammynathaniels
For @spellmaker I chose Whole And One
https://steemit.com/steemitschoolpoetry/@spellmaker/day-88-of-100-whole-and-one

https://steemit.com/steemitschoolpoetry/@sammynathaniels/of-blood-and-bones-day-88
both of these poems are amazing, that you to both poets for creating them xx
My find of the week, I have 2 actually, was hard to pick between them both but 1st is @theverve with this gem of a poem
https://steemit.com/steemitschoolpoetry/@theverve/100-days-of-poetry-challenge-day-90
and 2nd is @spellmaker with 'Receiving Perception'
https://steemit.com/steemitschoolpoetry/@spellmaker/day-87-of-100-receiving-perception
Thanks so much @d-pend, this challenge has been so good for me and I have so loved being so creative and expressive everyday, thank you for that gift xxx

Thank you for putting up with this motley crew of poets for almost 100 days. Luckily there was no hair pulling. I will be the first to admit that encouragement from the 100 day poetry challenge kept me posting for the past three months.

During the past week I was assigned to my brother @corderosiete. He has supported me through encouraging comments and wisdom throughout this poetic journey. I was moved by his post “A shooting Star”. The poem seems to me a journey into his greatest dreams and wishes. I invite you all to read @corderosite’s poems. We all know he has been active in engaging dialogue through this poetic journey. Es realmente un honor conocerte y leer tus poemas. Muchas gracias por compartir tu sabiduría con nosotros. Espero las mejores bendiciones para tu familia.

I met a new poet this week @ayahkasih. Penyair Majenun is from Indonesia and whenever I think it is hot in Korea this summer I can remember it is hotter there. These poems are also hot and touch the nature of existence and relationships. In this poem Penyair pens the heart one who in desperation believed outlandish promises with strings attached.

I noticed @prydefoltz has had a great week and is giving her best effort to engage poets into a community. It seems like she enjoys it. One of her poems stood out among the rest:

https://steemit.com/@prydefoltz/become-elemental-day-90-of-the-100-days-of-poetry

Feeling sentimental... ㅠㅠ

I know this is probably against the rules...

but I like my poem "The Emperor's New Post."

Five more days!!

the last week! wow! time flies so fast!

congratulations to all Steemians are able to come to the finish!)

Greetings once again! Have a lovely day full of amazing things happening! Enjoy what you have and what you still crave!

This week I was assigned @trucklife-family and @sammynathaniels - both of them are wonderful writers with unique views and patterns of words they use.

A poem from @trucklife-family that I decided to share with you and leave a meaningful comment is called - My Temple and it's about how everything is in our hands, we just have to do, explore and enjoy!
Go on and have a read!

A poem from @sammynathaniels that I resonated with me is called Lets talk about us and it's about love. For me - it reminded of a girl I was once in love with. I am still but sadly the life has other plans. This poem got my feelings out from the depths. It was enchanting!

Third poem that I want to share with you is written by @riovanes called - Search and it's about how we live our daily lives and that we shouldn't worry about stuff but enjoy the things we do!

Thank you for the assignments!

Have everyone a miraculous last week of this poetry challenge!

You are great if you're reading this!

Hi everyone!

My two assigned poets for week 13 were @ehisoria and @riahdex

I left extended comments on this poems:

My weekly find is "A Worried heart" by @ehisoria, because it touched me in a very powerful and personal way. I don't now if I'm breaking the rules of the challenge by nominating as my weekly find one of the poems that I commented as assignments but in this case I can't help it.

Thank you I'm honored really appreciate it

Hey @d-pend! I just had the idea of donating to this project with some of the proceeds from my "Steemit-Twitter Marketing Campaign" projects (current episode : https://steemit.com/promo-steem/@transcript-junky/steemit-twitter-marketing-campaign-update-13) especially since I have been tweeting out some of your (and other Steemians' poems as a part of that campaign). I think this is a good way to collaborate our efforts. I have donated 0.5 SBD to you (screenshot below) and I don't mind CONTINUING with this type of donation to fund your effort if you figure out a way to continue this project past the current "100 days" in some other form. I will also do a writeup of this donation in the next campaign post. Please keep me posted, and keep up the good work...

Last week I critiqued Funny me By @sayee

&

When the World Forgets by @hezem91

My find of the week came to me as a comment poem that someone wrote on my poem. by @findingcash

Thank you @d-pend for mentioning my name in the list of donors. It was a small contribution by me. Right now, I don't have much amount to donate. Definitely I will support your good work in near future. Thank you!

Greetings to all friends and dignified poets

I was assigned to two brain storming poets
@rihadex and @Sansoncarrasco

I really enjoyed this bit by @rihadex a lot maybe because it's about Africa What is my name?

And for @sansoncarrasco i loved this piece by him really cause it shows so much emotion and is really professionally written, really worth the read Derelict

And for my weekly find i choose both their poems because while one talks about Africa the other one talk about the hysteria in a country which is what is eaten up my country so much that's why I'm in love with their poems and

I don't even know how I stumbled to this post, trust me it's a miracle, I just woke up from my bed this morning and saw it as the first thing in front of my screen, I have been trying to contact you for the schedules of the poetry class on discord but to no avail, though am a minnow and an upcoming poet I want to be fully involved. Please I want to also donate something, no matter how little sir, so I need the procedures, and am surely going to be in class today. Thanks.@d-pend

I must become a good poet and poetry classes on steemschool must be my school. LOL

I was assigned poets @zeleiracordero and @mrbreeziewrites for last week.
I critiqued @mrbreeziewrites' poem, "Oh mademoiselle" and @zeleiracordero's poem "Like Orion's Dust"

My weekly find for week 13 is @trucklife-family's poem, Find your light.
