Alone, I pour away

in #poetry4 years ago

you are mixed into me like a cup of coffee poured into an ocean. I woke up today with your name clamped unto my tongue. every word I called sounded like your middle name, and every time I swallowed your name I felt ecstasy gulp down my throat.

these days, I miss you so much that my day is half filled with your smile and the moment you left. like an image of sunrise and sunset blended together. the beauty you made into me could wash the moon into paperbacks and crack the stars wide open.
but now it's getting dark without you here.
come back home my love. This place feels empty without you
