Lean management is most often associated with various tools and techniques. The goals of such tools (5S, Kaizen, TPM or SMED) are different, most often it comes to various types of optimizations and money savings. A concept such as Lean Leadership points to something completely different. It indicates the development of people, their awareness and competence. Leadership leads to the appropriate motivation of the crew to undertake important and difficult tasks.
