To me when growing up .. "freedom of speech" was what made America a truly great & free place to live. Now it is being suppressed by the tech media giants that want to control speech so they can then control our thoughts.. GOOGLE, FACEBOOK, TWITTER, U-TUBE Have become the enemy of FREE SPEECH..We are better off without them.

There has never been freedom of speech in Russia.
In tsarist Russia, the USSR, and modern Russia, there has always been censorship. People can go to jail for saying the wrong thing.
Currently, there are many prohibiting laws regarding the presentation of information.
Even for an anecdote, you can get a prison sentence.
Anecdote:
Donald Trump tells Putin: any American can say "Trump is a sucker and a goat".
Putin responds to Trump: we also have any Russian can say "Trump is a sucker and a goat."
If a person says the same thing about Putin, they can be jailed for insulting the President.
Many sites are blocked for users, and laws have been invented to block the Internet. A lot of budget funds are spent on this.
Sadly.. America is being conditioned to be a socialist state through our educational gov't run systems.. The younger generation has a totally different view and idea's of their parents.. They will have to find out the hard way when their individual freedoms are taken away..
Oh.... You don't know what socialism is. And never to find out. This is the fear of the Supreme rulers to lose their Power.
But our children are becoming freer than their parents!
